Edward Capozzi and Corey Dietz settled a matter involving a 37 year-old Morris County woman who was attending Denville Township’s National Night Out Event that was held in August of 2018, when she was struck in the head and neck area by a tent that had been caused to go airborne during a thunderstorm. Storms had been in the forecast for approximately 5 days in advance and the township took no precautions to secure the tent to the ground. As a result of being struck the Plaintiff suffered serious spine and shoulder injuries resulting in surgery. The case settled for $925,000.00.
